  • IntelBearish

Intel was among the most inflated stocks; its operational struggles and missed data center demand justify the drop.

Seymour argues Intel's run from about $40 to about $120-132 was driven by macro conditions unrelated to its core business, such as the shift in the CPU-to-GPU ratio. He says the company has not been able to keep up with data center demand, which is a big part of its business, and that it has not been able to do anything operationally. He cites multiple 20% drawdowns over the last couple of years, so the sharp fall is shocking but not a surprise. He calls Intel the worst house on a nice block.

“I think Intel was one of the most inflated stocks in the market based upon the macro going around it.”at 7:08

  • Amazon.comBullish

AWS growth back to mid-40s and triple-digit backlog growth make Amazon's selloff unwarranted; not a reason to sell.

AWS growth of about 39% beat the consensus of 38%, and management guided to over 40% AWS growth for 2027 and 2028. Seymour argues that returning to the mid-40s is a great story, backed by an order backlog above $578B that has grown triple digits year over year. He says the retail and consumer concerns are not the right reason to sell Amazon, and that the AWS print is what investors should be happy about.

“back into the mid 40s is a great story, especially with an order backlog that he also pointed out is north of $578,000,000,000 has grown triple digits year over year.”at 16:08

  • StarbucksBullish

Starbucks' numbers were excellent; the US turnaround and chart breakout make it a stock to own.

Seymour says the numbers were excellent, with US same-store sales up near 8%, and that Brian Niccol is a marketing genius reinvigorating the US business even though cost savings matter too. He notes the stock is rallying on those US comps and is near a 107 breakout level after six months in a range. He says the company is holding serve, closing about 300 stores while opening 250 selectively, and that investors can own it despite consumer pressures.

“I think Starbucks is kind of just... I think it's holding serve here. I think you can own it.”at 29:17

CNBC Fast Money: Amazon and Intel Report Results… And Alphabet’s Post-Earnings Plunge 10/29/26 ·

  • Eli Lilly and CompanyBullish

The market rewards Lilly for pipeline investment while punishing other big pharma that spends without payoff.

He says investors are rewarding Lilly for investing in its pipeline, and he is not questioning where Lilly is spending its money. Other big pharma gets punished for similar spending. He points to Pfizer, which also spent heavily on seemingly unproven pipeline bets. The implication is that the market separates spending that is paying off from spending that is not.

“And they're being rewarded for investing in the pipeline. We're not questioning where they're spending their money. There's certainly other big pharma out there that we punish them.”at 43:12

CNBC Fast Money: Amazon and Intel Report Results… And Alphabet’s Post-Earnings Plunge 10/29/26 ·

  • iShares Biotechnology ETFBullish

Mega-cap biotech is at all-time highs and breaking out; investors should not ignore the IBB.

He argues that the IBB and mega-cap biotech are at all-time highs and breaking out. Gilead's excellent numbers are part of that move. The group is a strong performer that investors should not overlook.

“just don't fall asleep on the IBB and at least... mega cap biotech. And they're all breaking out, but Gilead, these numbers were excellent.”at 43:25

CNBC Fast Money: Amazon and Intel Report Results… And Alphabet’s Post-Earnings Plunge 10/29/26 ·

  • Gilead SciencesBullish

Gilead's numbers were excellent; its HIV and HCV cash cows are rerating the stock to a high multiple.

Gilead's HIV and HCV franchises have been great cash cows that were sometimes seen as shrinking. Despite that, the stock is rerating at a high multiple after excellent results. He implies the market is now giving credit to the cash generation, even though these businesses were not considered growth stories.

“HIV and HCV... have been great cash cows and at times have been seen as shrinking. Meanwhile, the stock's rerating at a high multiple.”at 43:39

CNBC Fast Money: Amazon and Intel Report Results… And Alphabet’s Post-Earnings Plunge 10/29/26 ·

  • Amazon.comBullish

Amazon's post-earnings AWS and capex selloff is overdone; the stock is cheap relative to itself.

Seymour says the AWS result missed an expectation the whispers had pushed to the mid-40s percent growth range, and the Q4 outlook is mid-to-high 40s. He calls the capex number the most aggressive he has seen so far. He says he is comfortable with Amazon over-investing for the future and that the retail miss is fine if it is cyclical. He sees the growing operating margin story as underappreciated and argues the stock is range-bound for 1.5 years and cheap relative to itself. He notes it trades at about 30 times, versus about 21 for peers. He says Anthropic's growth could be Amazon's gain on the retail side and that he is less concerned about return on investment because the core business and AWS are supported by the world's needs. He thinks the market wants more capex discipline, but says that is a leap from a couple of days of trading.

“I think we appreciate the dynamic. First of the growing margin story at Amazon, I think, is underappreciated.”at 42:11

CNBC Closing Bell: Closing Bell Overtime: Big Tech Faces Another Earnings Test 10/29/26 ·

  • AlphabetBearish

Google's core business is being challenged and will keep weighing on the stock.

Seymour says the market is separating companies whose core businesses are being challenged from those whose core businesses are intact. Google is the poster child for the first group. He says that was true over the last couple of days, continues to be true, and will probably remain true. He ties this to the AI revenue question: whether the pie is getting bigger for everyone or whether incumbents' core businesses are being eroded.

“Those folks who have a core business that's being challenged and Google is the poster child, over the last couple of days and continues to be and probably will be.”at 43:32

CNBC Closing Bell: Closing Bell Overtime: Big Tech Faces Another Earnings Test 10/29/26 ·

  • MicrosoftBullish

Microsoft is the easiest investment in the group given its valuation, intact core business and Copilot progress.

Seymour says the market is sorting companies by whether their core business is still intact. Companies with core businesses being challenged, like Google, are under pressure. Microsoft is the one he finds the easiest to invest in, given its valuation, its intact core business and what he calls the slow but real progress of Copilot. He argues the earnings season has not settled the question of whether the AI revenue pie is getting bigger for everyone.

“Microsoft seems to me the one that is the easiest invest here given both valuation and the core business and what's truly slowly happening with Copilot.”at 43:46

  • AlphabetBearish

Alphabet's free cash flow drop and rising spending justify the selloff; core search is under pressure.

The quarter is about search and free cash flow, not the intrinsic value of YouTube. Free cash flow came in down about $9.1B against the Street's expectation of down about $2.7B, so spending is rising. The CFO flagged near-term margin headwinds as Google shifts to third-party cloud compute, and the 2026 capex guide was unchanged. Alphabet had already underperformed its mega-cap peers going into the print. He said the stock is far from expensive at around $290, down from over $400, but that a core business under this pressure is exactly why it should be selling off. He sees the chart retesting the March lows and says that level has to hold.

“this is about search, this is about free cash flow. It comes in down $9,100,000,000... The Street was down 2,700,000,000 so they're spending, they're spending.”at 5:20

  • MicrosoftBullish

Microsoft's Azure beat was far better than expected, so its core business looks sounder than Google's.

Microsoft's sales were weak, with 19% year-over-year revenue growth. But Azure was significantly better than expected, and better even than the whisper number. The question is who has fundamental risk to the core business, and he feels better about Microsoft's core business than Google's. He thinks the report also reflects on Apple. The two stocks that once traded as one trade now look very different.

“Azure was significantly better and significantly better than even a whisper that was better... I feel better about Microsoft's core business.”at 16:57

  • ServiceNowBearish

ServiceNow's valuation is demanding and its growth does not support it.

ServiceNow missed its next-quarter guide, with growth expected at 18% versus 19%. The software trade's valuation is the troubling part. Security names like CrowdStrike, Palo Alto and Palantir can sustain high multiples because of their customer base. ServiceNow's growth does not support its multiple, and the stock is demanding.

“But bring it back to the valuation. And this is what to me is the troubling part of the software trade... But a ServiceNow with that kind of growth, how do you support that? ... But this one is demanding.”at 30:13

CNBC Fast Money: Alphabet Search Miss, Microsoft Azure Beat and Fed’s Hawkish Pause 10/28/26 ·

  • FedExBearish

FedEx margins are unlikely to improve in the short to medium term, and the stock looks challenged.

The transports as a group have underperformed. There is a bear cross and other technical signals that don't add up. He finds it hard to believe FedEx's margins will improve in the short to medium term. The stock has rallied but still looks challenged on the charts, and it is expensive on a relative basis against UPS.

“the transports as a group, first of all, have been really underperforming... It's hard to believe that FedEx margins in the short to medium term get better.”at 32:38

CNBC Fast Money: Alphabet Search Miss, Microsoft Azure Beat and Fed’s Hawkish Pause 10/28/26 ·

  • United Parcel ServiceBullish

UPS is the more interesting of the two parcel stocks, since FedEx is expensive on a relative basis.

FedEx is expensive on a relative pair basis against UPS. He says UPS is the more interesting trade if you are going to own one of the two. This is a comparison of relative value, not an absolute call on UPS. He is skeptical of the transports overall, but he sees UPS as the better way to play the group.

“expensive on a relative pair basis. We talked about this briefly to its UPS pair, which I think is a more interesting trade if you're going to own one of the two.”at 33:05

  • US rates & the Fed

The Fed's hold was a hawkish pause: it upgraded the economy and called inflation too high.

Seymour says the Fed's statement seemed to upgrade the economy and talked about inflation being too high, with reference to Americans who have dealt with inflation for more than six years. That combination is why he calls the pause hawkish, and he concludes the Fed is leaning hawkish.

“I do think it was a hawkish pause... They seemingly upgraded the economy. They talked about inflation being too high.”at 40:53

  • Chipotle Mexican GrillBullish

Chipotle has been more resilient than peers, valuation is reasonable, and the chart is bottoming.

Seymour says the company's management has been transparent about the consumer and the macro backdrop, and Chipotle has been more resilient than its restaurant peers. He argues valuation is not that difficult, and the stock chart has started to find a bottoming range, which he finds interesting.

“We know their consumer and what's been going on and they actually have been a lot more resilient than the peers... Valuation, not that difficult here.”at 45:33

  • MicrosoftBullish

Microsoft outperformed the software ETF and its multiple is safer than peers'; he sees it as ownable.

Microsoft has outperformed the IGV software ETF, which Seymour takes as a sign its multiple is safer than the scary multiples discussed earlier that night. He also says growth is interesting even relative to Microsoft's own history, and that it beat expectations. He concludes that investors can own it at this level.

“Microsoft has even outperformed that IGV. So I think it's a safer place on multiple. It's not a multiple that's scary like some of ones we've even talked about tonight... I think you can own it here.”at 49:26

  • Meta PlatformsUncertain

Meta's stock offering being heavily oversubscribed signals investors are not worried about credit, only free cash flow.

Seymour says Meta's stock offering was oversubscribed several times over, which he calls a major show of support for a big block of stock. He says this separates the companies whose credit quality investors are not concerned about from those where they may be concerned about free cash flow. He thinks the market's worry is more about free cash flow than credit.

“I don't know, is it five times or 25 times, excuse me, oversubscribed on their their stock offering isn't just a little show of support. It's a major show of support for a big block of stock.”at 4:01

  • US stock market outlook

Market technicals are badly damaged; semis remain below key averages and a fresh reset is needed.

Seymour says the technical damage is real. The Philadelphia Semiconductor index needs another 5% to get above its 20- and 50-day moving averages. It had not traded that close to its 200-day since Liberation Day, and there have been many tests since. He says last week's rate-driven rally was a story of tapping the brakes on cyclicality and capital raising, so the market needs a fresh reset. He is not sure the earnings from the mega-caps will settle the question.

“it's definitely the technicals, there's there's damage... it still needs another 5% from here to get above its twenty and fifty day moving... It hadn't been trading that close to the 200 since Liberation Day.”at 8:45

  • Credit markets

Credit's rally is mostly lower long rates, not fundamentals; it would not hold if the 10-year rose.

Seymour says credit has rallied strongly after Oracle CDS peaked a few days earlier, and investment-grade CDS had been at all-time highs about a week ago. He argues much of the move reflects a 35 basis point drop in long rates, which affects the duration of many AI deals. He says that if the 10-year were pushing 5.60%, credit would not feel better, so the rally is rate-driven rather than fundamental.

“how much of that is the 35 basis point move lower in long rates that are often the duration of a lot of these deals? ... If we were pushing $5.60 on the ten year right now, do you really think that credit would feel better? I don't think so.”at 14:10

  • The Boeing CompanyBearish

Boeing is more than a year behind on free cash flow; he has sold it and expects downgrades.

Seymour says Boeing is more than a year behind on its free cash flow target. The company was supposed to reach it by late 2027, and he says the Jefferies projection of about $9 billion by 2029 is disappointing. He expects the street to downgrade the stock and says he has sold it in a couple of accounts. He is fed up, having previously expected free cash flow to return in 2025.

“the street tomorrow will be downgrading this stock... they are more than a year behind on free cash flow... They were supposed to be there by late twenty seven, and and that is disappointing... I have sold it in a couple accounts.”at 22:22

  • United Parcel ServiceBullish

UPS's turnaround is real; he is long, the stock is not expensive, and it trades cheaply versus FedEx.

Seymour says UPS has been beleaguered for a long time but the turnaround is happening. He cites beat-and-raise results and a second-half ramp in 2026 that is alive and well. He says the stock is not expensive and is cheap on a pair trade versus FedEx relative to history. He says he is long UPS and that investors are paid a nice dip to be along for the ride.

“This is a company that's actually been beleaguered for a long time. I think the turnaround is there. I mean, beat and raise... The second half ramp in in '26 is alive and well, and it's happening. So I am long UPS.”at 26:57

  • General Motors CompanyBullish

GM should be valued as a well-run ICE and OEM company, not an EV play; it has never generated more free cash flow.

Seymour says GM, unlike Boeing, has never generated more free cash flow. He says the company just reported numbers that got it knocked down, but EBITDA came in close to $3 billion. He sticks to valuation and wants GM treated as a company that has never been run better, getting credit for its OEM and ICE business rather than as an EV story.

“unlike Boeing, has never generated more free cash flow. This company, they just had numbers. They got knocked down on the numbers... I want them to be treated by... Like a company that's never been run better.”at 29:07

  • Robinhood MarketsBullish

Robinhood is not expensive and leads its space; buy the selloff.

Seymour does not think the stock is particularly expensive and sees Robinhood as the leader in its space. He says to buy the selloff. He notes that third-quarter results were light even though crypto was strong in the quarter, and he sees the event platform as the main debate around the stock.

“I don't think it's particularly expensive. Think they're the leader on the clubhouse turn and I think you buy it on this selloff.”at 39:15

  • The Home DepotBullish

Home Depot offers asymmetric exposure in this rate environment; numbers are fine and expectations have reset.

Seymour is slowly buying Home Depot because of its pro business and its sensitivity to interest rates. He argues that long rates could go higher, but the stock's risk-reward is asymmetric. He says the numbers are fine, margins are okay, and management has reset expectations. He admits it is not a great environment, but he still considers it a good place to start buying.

“I have been slowly nibbling at Home Depot. I think that both their pro business and I just think the interest rate sensitivity... I think you have some kind of asymmetric exposure on owning Home Depot in this environment.”at 41:51

  • iShares MSCI Brazil ETFBullish

Brazil's EWZ selloff is overdone; the market is oversold and about 10% cheap.

Seymour says the EWZ fell about 19% on volume about six times normal, a washout that closed about 5% above its low. He says the market was overdone and remains about 10% cheap versus pre-election levels, so the reaction is oversold. He also says Brazil could rerate significantly from the Bolsonaro rally, and the selloff was not a fundamental change.

“I think there are reasons to believe that the market was overdone. And in fact, even now, they are probably 10% cheap to where they were before Bolsonaro surprised people with that round one victory. So oversold on the reaction is my view.”at 24:00

  • Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - PetrobrasBullish

Petrobras is a strong long: dollar revenue against depreciated real costs.

Seymour says Petrobras, which was once a government piggyback, has become a dollar exporter in a depreciated-currency environment. It collects revenue in dollars but pays costs in reais, a strong setup. He calls it one of the best oil-space trades for a couple of years and says he is long.

“It's now a dollar exporter in a depreciated cost environment. So collecting in dollars, but costs in real, that's a pretty good story. Let's be clear. I'm long Petrobras.”at 24:58

Seymour says he is long Nubank, a digital bank running throughout Latin America. While local-economy cyclicals were hit by the election selloff, he argues investors will sort out what is what and separate Nubank's digital franchise from the local macro risk.

Credit is repricing corporate risk; global CDS and spreads have widened to levels not seen since May.

Tim says there is a credit component to the sell-off. Global CDS is about as wide as it has been since last May, and there is a repricing of corporate-grade risk. High-yield option-adjusted spreads have moved from about 260 to 340 in six weeks, and investment-grade spreads are widening alongside higher rates from heavy issuance. He sees credit markets tightening conditions and telling us how fast growth will slow.

“there's no question there's a credit component to this, and we're all seeing the same stats about global CDS is kind of as wide as it's been since last May.”at 3:22

Adding Nvidia on this weakness looks attractive; semis have lagged badly since May.

Tim argues that semis have pulled back to roughly May levels and have substantially underperformed on a relative basis. He sees this weakness as a very interesting time to add exposure to the SMH semis ETF or to Nvidia. He also notes the group's constraint is execution on capacity, not demand, so the sell-off may offer a better entry.

“if you're adding [semis] here on some weakness, ... if you wanna add to NVIDIA, I think this is a very interesting time. ... semis are all way back to kind of May, and on a relative basis, they've really underperformed substantially.”at 3:39
