Methodology
How Chorus works
Chorus follows finance podcasts and turns what people say into market views: who said it, about which company or theme, whether they're bullish or bearish, why, and the quote itself, with when it was said.
What we cover
Named investors, operators, strategists, economists, analysts and central bankers stating their own market views, with their reasons. We cover the people investors seek out, without judging whether they're right. We don't cover company management, anonymous crowds or entertainment. Who we cover lists every show.
From episode to views
Chorus checks every show for new episodes every few hours, so a new episode is usually in Chorus within hours of release. Each episode is transcribed, and every argued view in it is recorded: the speaker, the company or theme, the claim, the reasoning and the quote, with its timestamp. Views on a company also say whether the speaker is bullish or bearish. Speakers and companies are matched across shows, so one person is one speaker wherever they appear.
Every quote is checked
Every quote is compared with the episode's transcript before it's published. A quote may be lightly cleaned up, with fillers like “you know” removed or a misheard word fixed, but nothing that changes its meaning. If a quote can't be matched to what was said, it's never presented as a quote. Cuts are marked with an ellipsis (…), and added context goes in [square brackets].
Who gets credited
- Views are credited to the person stating them. Journalist hosts who ask the questions aren't credited with views.
- When an executive talks about their own company, the view is left off these public pages: it's management talking, not an outside view.
- Chorus reports what people said and doesn't judge whether they're right. None of it is investment advice.
What's public and what's for subscribers
The episode pages, company and theme pages and speaker pages show verified views, grouped the way people ask about them, and update as new episodes come in. Subscribers get the full record in their AI: every view across every show, through the questions they ask.
