Rory O'Driscoll · Scale Venture PartnersBullish
Salesforce's roughly 10x-revenue Cresta purchase is a smart deal that adds critical mass.
Rory thinks the Cresta deal is pretty good for Salesforce because Cresta is a more mature company with scale and enterprise deployments, and its ARR is well over $200M. Paying about 10x revenue is reasonable compared with the 40x-type multiples on hot new AI startups. He says it's a smart deal for Salesforce because it gives critical mass and moves its service business forward.
“I think the Cresta deal is actually pretty good. You're paying 10 x.”at 1:04:27

Salesforce's decline is overdone; its consumption-based Agentforce AI product is red hot.
Cramer says Salesforce has introduced consumption-based pricing for its Agentforce AI product, which he calls red hot, even as its seat-based model covers other business lines. He covers the company closely and argues its drop today is driven by ServiceNow's weak read-across, not Salesforce's own business.
“Salesforce [...] has introduced consumption based models for its red hot agent force AI product.”at 46:46

Software is a very good buy; Salesforce is recovering off its lows after the dip.
Newton names software as a very good buy for investors who buy dips. He points to Salesforce hitting its highest level in a few weeks. It is still well below its all-time highs but is clearly making progress off its lows, which he reads as a technical recovery.
“Software is actually a very good buy. For those who like to buy dips, look at things like salesforce.com, CRM.”at 6:59

Salesforce is a long-term winner from enterprise AI adoption and will help fuel the AI revolution.
Ted includes Salesforce (CRM) with Microsoft and ServiceNow as names that look strong over the long term on enterprise AI adoption. He argues they will fuel the AI revolution, which supports a bullish view on enterprise software.
“Take Microsoft, ServiceNow, CRM. Those are the names that if you really look long term on the enterprise adoption of AI, those are three companies that gonna... Are going to fuel the AI revolution.”at 45:50
Jim Cramer · CNBCBullish
Salesforce's business is strong and its buyback is large; an analyst's sell call on it is wrong.
Software stocks held up, led by Salesforce, which got an upgrade. Cramer cannot believe an analyst kept recommending a sale of the stock when its business was so strong and its buyback was so voluminous. He points to the strength of the business and the buyback as the reasons the sell call looks wrong.
“Software stocks hung in there, led by Salesforce... I still can't believe an analyst kept recommending a sale of the stock when business was so strong and a buyback was so voluminous.”at 46:34

Salesforce's comprehensive AI offering makes it a double upgrade; AI is a growth tailwind.
Large enterprises are not switching away from their systems of record, governance and data, and they need an orchestration layer and a new language interface to deploy AI. Liani rates Salesforce's AI offering among the best because it covers all four layers. He sees Salesforce as using AI as a growth tailwind, while enterprise AI deployment is still very small. He expects growth to accelerate for the next few quarters, but not to double digits next year. He says software companies can rally if they prove a valid, profitable AI strategy. Growth timing is the main risk.
“we are saying it is one of the best in the market because it's comprehensive. It offers a solution for all four layers.”at 11:50

Salesforce's $2B Listen Labs deal is hard to justify given only about $20M revenue.
Salesforce is nearing a $60B revenue target, and he doesn't see how a roughly $20M revenue AI survey business moves the needle for it. He says it's not a bad idea, and he's a fan of many Salesforce acquisitions, but this one he doesn't get. To move the needle, a deal has to be big or it should be a tuck-in. He suspects it may be forgotten in a couple of years.
“This one I don't really get. ... I just don't know how 20,000,000 of revenue of next generation AI survey moves the needle. And I'm not saying it doesn't.”at 39:01

Salesforce got caught in the SaaS sell-off and is now cheap, after being too expensive for years.
Boyar lists Salesforce among the companies caught in the 'SaaS apocalypse' sell-off. He says it was a name the firm always wanted to own but was always too expensive. It has now fallen to pretty cheap levels, which makes it an attractive opportunity in his view.
“companies that got caught up in the SaaS apocalypse, CRM was another one, it was a name that we've always wanted to own, it was always too expensive, and then it got down to pretty cheap.”at 47:29
